European markets 'cautious'

(ANSA) - Rome, August 29 - The spread between the BTP and the Bund slipped below 440 base points to 439 Wednesday after a maximum 455 points for the day. In Spain yields on bonos fell to 6.45% with the spread registered at 508 points. European markets continued with caution after a starting balance from Wall Street. The FTSE Mib closed in negative at -0.33% and 14.943 index points. Milan (+0.1%) and Frankfurt (+0.09%) were up slightly, while Paris (-0.39%) Madrid (-0.22%) and London fell (-0,33%). Among the most affected were raw materials with Glencore (-3.31%), Lonmin (-3.02%) and Rio Tinto (-2.69%), and banking - Bankia (+11, 88%), followed by BPM at (+3.01%).
