Soccer: Krkic set for Milan move

(ANSA) - Milan, August 28 - AS Roma striker Bojan Krkic flew to Milan Tuesday after a deal was agreed on his transfer to AC Milan. The Spanish striker, 22, will have a medical Wednesday before the move is officially announced, club sources said. Krkic was unsettled at Roma last year, only playing 33 times and scoring seven goals. At Barcelona from 2007 to 2011 he made 104 appearances and scored 26 times, becoming a crowd favourite. He played for Spain once, in 2008. Milan have an attacking shortage after selling Sweden ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint Germain. Injury-prone Pato and his Brazil teammate Robinho are out for at least three weeks. Earlier Tuesday, 17-year-old French striker Mbaye Niang moved to Milan from Caen on a three-year contract. He joins Giampaolo Pazzini, who came from Inter on a swap with Antonio Cassano.
