Venice, August 29 - A Venetian lawyer has challenged the legality of George Clooney's speed-boat ride to the premiere of his latest movie at the Venice Film Festival Wednesday. "I asked the authorities to go to the Hotel Cipriani to see if Clooney has a nautical licence," Mario D'Elia told the Corriere del Veneto newspaper Thursday. Legal experts said the owner of the speedboat, and not Clooney, would be liable if the star of space thriller Gravity proved not to be steering legally.
